Samsung Appliance Repair in Groveland, FL
Samsung packs a lot of electronics into its refrigerators, washers and ranges. That makes guessing expensive. We trace the fault to the part that actually failed, then give you a written price before anything gets replaced.

What We Cover
When Your Samsung Appliance Stops Working the Way It Should
Samsung appliances rely heavily on sensors and circuit boards. Your refrigerator has several thermistors keeping track of each compartment, and your washer checks the door lock, water level and drum balance before it will spin. When one reading goes wrong, the whole appliance can act broken even though most of it is fine.
That's why a Samsung repair starts with testing, not swapping parts. A board that looks bad is often reacting to a sensor or a wiring fault further down the line, and replacing the board first just adds to your bill.
Most calls fall into one of four groups: cooling, laundry cycles, heat or controls. Here is how each one usually looks in your home.
Want the detail on one appliance? Our refrigerator repair and washer repair pages cover what we test and what it usually costs, and residential appliance repair explains how we work across a whole house.
Cooling Problems in the Kitchen
A fresh food section that creeps above 40°F, an ice bin that keeps freezing solid, or a freezer that runs but never gets cold enough.
Laundry Cycles That Won't Finish
Washers that pause with water still in the drum, and dryers that tumble for an hour without actually drying your clothes.
Cooking Appliances With Heating Problems
Ovens that preheat slowly or run off temperature, and cooktop burners or zones that no longer heat up.
Controls, Displays & Electronic Issues
Touch panels that ignore you, displays that flicker or go dark, and codes that show up with no obvious cause.
Know What a Samsung Repair Costs Before We Start
Our diagnostic visit is $79, and we waive it when you approve the repair. You get the price in writing first, so nothing on the invoice is a surprise.

Early Warnings
Warning Signs Your Samsung Appliance Needs Attention
Small changes are easy to live with until the day the appliance quits. If you notice one of these, it is usually cheaper to have it checked now.
Call (352) 562-0907Ice buildup where it doesn’t belong
Frost on the back wall of the freezer or a solid block in the ice bin means cold air isn’t moving the way it should.
Cycles getting longer
A wash or dry that takes noticeably longer than it used to is often the appliance trying to make up for a weak part.
A new sound
A buzz from the back of the fridge, a rattle during the spin or a squeal from the dryer drum is worth mentioning when you call.
Water in the wrong place
Puddles under the fridge, a wet floor near the washer or a damp cabinet beside the dishwasher.
A code that keeps coming back
One code after a power flicker isn’t a big deal. The same code every week points to a real fault.
Temperatures that won’t hold
Soft ice cream, warm drinks or an oven that needs extra time for every recipe.

Samsung Refrigerator Problems We Diagnose in Groveland
Samsung refrigerators are the brand’s most common repair call in our area. Most faults come down to airflow, defrost or the ice and water system, not the compressor.
Fresh food section running warm
If the freezer is fine but the fridge is warm, we check the evaporator fan and the airflow between compartments. Ice on the evaporator coil is a common cause.
Ice maker freezing up or jamming
Door-mounted ice makers can build up ice if cold air leaks into the housing. We look at the seals, the fan and the fill system to find where it starts.
Frost on the back panel
A defrost heater, sensor or control that stops working lets frost build until it blocks airflow completely.
Water on the floor or under the crisper drawers
Usually a blocked or frozen defrost drain. Sometimes it’s a loose water line at the back or in the door.
Clicking, buzzing or a loud fan
A fan blade hitting ice makes a steady ticking sound. A compressor that is struggling to start sounds different, and we can tell them apart on site.
Dispenser slow or not working
We check the filter, the inlet valve and the supply line in the door, since any one of them can freeze or clog.
Symptoms We See
Get Your Samsung Washer Back Through the Full Cycle
A Samsung washer runs several checks before it drains and spins. When a cycle stops early, it’s usually because one of those checks failed.
Stops with water still in the drum
A clogged pump filter, a failing drain pump or a kinked hose. On front loaders, the filter sits behind a small panel at the bottom.
Won’t spin or spins slowly
If the load is uneven, the washer holds back the spin to protect itself. If it happens with every load, we test the motor, hall sensor and suspension.
Shaking hard during spin
Worn shocks or suspension rods let the drum swing too far. Left alone, the tub can hit the cabinet and damage other parts.
Door or lid won’t unlock
The lock stays shut until the drum is empty and the temperature is safe. If it stays locked after that, the lock assembly or its signal is at fault.
Leaking at the front
A torn door boot, a loose hose clamp or an overdose of detergent pushing suds out of the drum.
Grinding or banging
A coin in the pump, a worn drum bearing or loose counterweight bolts. Each one sounds different, and each has a different fix.
Symptoms We See
Samsung Dryer Running but Clothes Still Damp?
A dryer that tumbles but doesn’t dry is the call we get most for Samsung laundry. Heat and airflow both have to work for clothes to come out dry.
No heat at all
On electric dryers, the heating element or a thermal fuse. On gas dryers, the igniter, the flame sensor or the gas valve coils.
Heat, but slow drying
A crushed duct or lint buildup in the vent. The dryer may show a vent or filter reminder on models that have one.
Shuts off early
A moisture sensor coated in fabric softener residue can make the dryer think a wet load is already dry.
Drum not turning
A broken belt, a worn idler pulley or a motor that has stopped starting.
Thumping or squeaking
Flat spots on the drum rollers or a dry idler bearing. Both get louder over time.
Symptoms We See
Samsung Dishwasher Problems That Can Interrupt the Kitchen
Dishwasher faults tend to show up as a sink full of dirty dishes. These are the ones we trace most often on Samsung models.
Water left in the bottom
A full filter, a blocked air gap under the sink or a drain pump that has stopped working.
Cloudy or gritty dishes
Hard water scale on the spray jets, a dirty filter or water that isn’t getting hot enough to clean.
Leaking onto the floor
A worn door gasket, a unit that isn’t level or a loose connection underneath.
Won’t start or stops mid-cycle
A door latch that isn’t sensing closed, a failed control board or a thermal fuse.
Humming with no water movement
The circulation pump may be jammed by glass or food, or it may be starting to fail.
Symptoms We See
Samsung Oven & Range Problems That Need a Closer Look
Samsung ranges come in gas, electric and induction versions, and each fails differently. We work on all three.
Oven slow to preheat
A weak bake element, a gas igniter that no longer opens the valve, or a convection fan that has stopped moving air.
Food overcooked or underdone
We check the oven sensor with our own thermometer rather than trusting the display.
Gas burner clicks but won’t light
A dirty igniter, a misaligned cap or a clogged burner port. If several burners fail at once, we check the spark module.
Electric or induction zone dead
A failed element, a switch, or on induction ranges a coil or power board. We confirm the pan is induction compatible first.
Door not closing tightly
Bent hinges or a flat gasket let heat escape and slow down every cooking job.
Worth Knowing
Smart Controls Are Helpful, Until They Stop Responding
Many newer Samsung appliances have touch panels, digital displays and, on some models, Wi-Fi and SmartThings app support. Features vary a lot from model to model, so we always check what your unit actually has before troubleshooting.
When a control stops responding, the connectivity usually isn’t the problem. A touch panel that ignores you might have a worn membrane, moisture behind the glass or a failing display board. A panel that goes dark could be a power supply problem on the main board.
Before any board is replaced, we check the power reaching it and the parts it controls. Boards can be pricey, and a bad sensor or loose connector can make a good board look faulty.
- Touch keys that need several presses
- Display flickering, dimming or going blank
- Control lock that won’t turn off
- App showing an alert the appliance itself doesn’t display (app models only)
- Settings resetting after a power outage
Reading The Display
Samsung Error Codes Are Clues, Not the Whole Diagnosis
A code tells you where the appliance noticed a problem. It doesn’t tell you which part failed or why.
Codes vary by appliance and model
- The same letters on a Samsung washer, dryer and refrigerator can mean completely different things. We match the code to your exact model number instead of relying on a generic online list.
A code points to a system
- A drain code tells us water didn’t leave in time. The cause could be the pump, the filter, the hose or even the house drain. Testing narrows it down.
Resetting once is reasonable
- If a code appears after a storm or power outage, turning the appliance off at the breaker for a minute can clear it. If it comes back, the fault is real.
Share the code when you book
- Send us a photo of the display along with your model number. It helps us bring the most likely parts on the first visit.
What Usually Fails
What Could Be Causing the Problem?
Samsung appliances share a handful of parts that account for most repairs. These are the components we test first, depending on the symptom.
Temperature sensors
Thermistors report temperatures to the control board. A drifting reading causes warm fridges, freezers that frost over and dryers that stop too soon.
Fan motors
Evaporator and condenser fans in refrigerators, and convection fans in ovens. A slow or stuck fan feels like a cooling or heating failure.
Drain pumps
In washers and dishwashers. Pumps can fail on their own or get jammed by small objects like coins or bits of glass.
Drive motors and hall sensors
Samsung washers track drum speed with a sensor. If the sensor fails, the washer may refuse to spin even when the motor is fine.
Heating components
Dryer and oven elements, gas igniters, and the thermal fuses that shut the heat off when something overheats.
Water valves
Inlet valves feed washers, dishwashers and ice makers. Hard water in Lake County builds up on the screens over time.
Door locks and latches
If the appliance can’t confirm the door is closed, it won’t start. The problem might be the lock or the signal it sends.
Control and display boards
We check them last, after confirming the parts they control are working correctly.
A Few Minutes Now
Help Us Understand the Problem Before Your Visit
A few details from you can shorten the visit and help us arrive with the right parts. Nothing here requires tools or taking panels off.
Your model number
Check inside the door or lid, along the inside wall of the fridge, or behind the storage drawer on a range.
A photo of any code
Take the photo while the code is on screen, before you reset anything.
When it happens
Every cycle, only on hot days, only with big loads? Patterns help us narrow it down fast.
What you hear, see or smell
Note where water shows up, when the noise starts and any burning smell.
Anything that makes it unsafe
If you smell gas, leave the house and call your gas provider from outside first. For sparks or burning, switch off the breaker.

Honest Advice
Does Your Samsung Appliance Still Make Sense to Repair?
We give you a clear recommendation, even when it means a smaller job for us.
- 01
How old is it?
Samsung appliances under eight to ten years old are usually worth repairing, especially when the fault is a sensor, fan, pump or valve.
- 02
What does the repair cost compared to a new unit?
Compare the quote to the full cost of a comparable Samsung, including delivery, installation and hauling away the old one.
- 03
Is it a board or a sealed system repair?
These are the two most expensive fixes. On an older unit, we’ll show you the numbers and let you decide.
- 04
Is any coverage still active?
Check your purchase warranty or any extended plan before paying out of pocket. We can tell you what we found so you can file a claim.
- 05
Can you still get the parts?
Parts for current Samsung models are easy to find. Older discontinued models can be harder, and we’ll let you know upfront.
Fewer Call-Outs
A Little Care Can Prevent Bigger Appliance Problems
None of these take more than a few minutes, and all of them are safe for any homeowner.
Vacuum the fridge coils
Unplug the fridge first, then vacuum the coils twice a year. Clean coils help the compressor keep up in Florida heat.
Rinse the dishwasher filter
Once a month, twist out the filter and rinse it under running water. It helps with both cleaning and drainage.
Run the washer’s cleaning cycle
If your washer has a self-clean cycle, run it monthly and leave the door open between loads.
Clean the lint screen every load
Have the vent duct cleaned once a year. Also wipe the moisture sensor bars with a little rubbing alcohol.
Replace the water filter on time
A clogged filter slows the dispenser and strains the inlet valve. Most filters need replacing about every six months.
Don’t block the freezer vents
Leave space around the air vents inside the freezer so cold air can reach the fridge section.

Answers Before You Book
Questions About Samsung Appliance Repair in Groveland
Have another question? Call (352) 562-0907 and tell us what is going on with your appliance.
Which Samsung appliances do you repair?
Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, cooktops and microwaves. We work on both older models and current ones.
My Samsung refrigerator freezer is cold but the fridge is warm. Can you fix it?
Yes. This usually happens when frost blocks the evaporator coil or the fan stops moving air into the fridge. We find out why the defrost system failed, so the problem doesn’t return in a few weeks.
Why does my Samsung ice maker keep freezing up?
Most of the time, cold air or moisture is getting into the ice maker housing. We check the seals, fan and fill system. A quick defrost may help for a little while, but it won’t fix the cause.
Can you tell me what my Samsung error code means over the phone?
We can often tell you what system it relates to once we have your model number. The exact cause needs on-site testing, since one code can have several possible sources.
Do you repair Samsung smart and Wi-Fi appliances?
Yes. Smart features vary by model, but the repair still happens on the appliance itself: the sensors, boards and mechanical parts. App alerts can help, but they don’t replace testing.
Is it worth fixing a Samsung washer that won’t spin?
Usually, yes. A spin problem often comes from the drain system, a hall sensor or the suspension. Those repairs typically cost far less than a new washer.
How much does Samsung appliance repair cost?
The diagnostic visit is $79, and we waive it if you approve the repair. You receive a written price before any work starts.
Do you offer same-day Samsung repair in Groveland?
Same-day visits are often available when you call early in the day. Parts we don’t carry on the van are usually available within a few business days.

I used Ramsom Appliances to install a dishwasher that I was gifted. My installer, Rafael, was knowledgeable, professional, and overall a pleasure to have for this job. The dishwasher is level, he made sure the water line was installed at the right angle to prevent a backup in the flow of things. The attachment to the garbage disposal was perfect with no leaks afterwards. The front office staff, Ms. Vanessa was also very nice and professional and was able to schedule my service appointment for the next day, which I was very happy about that. I highly recommend RAMSON Appliances. I will use them in the future.

Great experience. Scheduling appointment was easy. They gave a heads up via text when they were on the way and they were on time...answered all my questions and gave me a whole education about what was wrong with my refrigerator and how much parts and labor would cost to get to the bottom of it. There were no sleazy tactics to just get my money. Straight up, honest service. I will call again when needed and refer to anyone who needs appliance service.

Easy to contact, quick appointments. The refrigerator lights fix was more difficult than anticipated and took 2 service calls but the tech followed up quickly and i was only billed for the additional parts, not 2 calls. This is the 3rd time we’ve used Ramson and still very satisfied.
